Music On The Run

Provided By: CarInsurance.com Auto Insurance Articles

Downloading music is a way of life it seems. There are so very many sites you can pay to get your music from in just a few minutes.Once you have your music downloaded you can store it on your computer or MP3 player easily. How do you get your music out of the house and into your car?

Half the fun of driving a car is listening to your music in it. If you have stopped buying compact discs and starting downloading music how will you get your new music in your car to rock out to? It depends on your music player and software but there are ways in which you can move your music from one place to the other so that you can enjoy the benefits of your downloads in your vehicle.

The easiest way in which to transfer your music is to set up a music library on your computer. This is easily done through Media Player or the other audio software that is likely already on your computer. Using this software you can move the music that you want to play in your car to a library. Here you can sort it by artist, genre, etc. Once you have your music picked out the easiest way to make it available to you use in your car is to burn it to disc.

Most computers have the software to burn discs. If not it can be easily found by searching the Internet or asking someone in a music forum about it. The compact disc will store the MP3 formatted songs and your work will be done if your vehicle is equipped with a CD player that reads MP3 encoded discs. If not than you will have to “rip” or convert the music to the format that your car’s CD player will recognize.

The software to covert your music is again easily found. There are programs such as Roxio or Nero that are simple to use. They walk you through the process and your music can be converted and burned to compact disc in just a few short minutes. If you have to convert your music this way you will not get as much music onto the CD than if you had straight MP3s on it. You should still be able to get 15 songs or more on the CD, depending on the length of each song.

If you do not want to make the conversion you can always purchase and change out your factory CD player for one that plays MP3s. Since this format of music has become more popular the pricing of this stereo unit has come down considerably. With it there are many extras such as the display telling the name of the group and the title of the song that is being played. Much better than the normal display of Track 1, Track 2, etc.

Having music in the car during your daily drive is a relaxing and fun experience. To give yourself the full experience, learn to transfer your music from your home computer to a compact disc. When you learn to do this you will be able to enjoy your music on the run.
