- Buying a Policy Questions and Answers
If someone has congestive sleep apnea and uses a medically prescribed CPAP device which successfully alleviates the condition, is this considered a condition which must be reported to the persons auto insurer in the state of Wisconsin? The Wisconsin Department of Transportation does not ask questions about this specific condition on the Wisconsin drivers license application (the only question asked is whether the applicant lost consciousness while driving during the past 2 years), and with the use of the CPAP device, there is no impairment of the ability to drive safely.

I have just been shopping for car insurance and one company informed me of a law, that is only in California, that I have never heard of before. If I loan my car to someone and they get into an accident that the coverage wouldn't be the limits that I have but the state's minimum Liability limits unless I added "permissive user buy back" to my policy. Is this the case?

I am currently separated from my spouse and waiting for the divorce to become final. She has a car that is in both our names and I have a car this is both of our names. Obviously, she will no longer be driving mine nor will I ever drive hers again. My question is do we still have to have coverage for both of us on both vehicles or can I simply obtain my own insurance for just myself on my vehicle? I am in Florida.
