What happens if I have an accident and I don't have collision insurance? Saturday, April 19, 2008 9:29 AM |
A vehicle stolen from a car dealership, hit my vehicle in the middle of the night while it was parked in front of my house. My vehicle is totaled and I only had liability. The car dealership's insurance company states that because they reported the vehicle stolen 3 months prior to the accident that they are not liable and will not pay for my car. Is this true? Is there any recourse for my family? Tuesday, April 15, 2008 5:08 PM |

I reported a cracked windshield to my insurance company. The representative asked me if the crack was as large as a dollar bill. After I told him no, he said that the company would pay for a repair which he said was a safe option for my windshield. Shouldn't the company be required to restore my car to its previous condition, with a new crack free windshield? Friday, April 04, 2008 9:50 AM |

A 28 yr old man hit my brick wall, mulberry tree and 2 oak trees and damaged my driveway. All trees are mature and about 24" around. He was drunk and was care-flighted to a hospital(hes OK). I had a Horticulturists look at my trees and he said they would die. Now my question is how much will the insurance pay? It will cost about $18,000.00 to replace the 24" trees with 8" trees not including the brick wall and my drive way that was damaged. Friday, April 04, 2008 8:28 PM |

Can you be given a ticket in NY for having a cracked windshield if the drivers vision is not impaired or distorted? My windshield is cracked on the passenger side but in no way impairs or distorts my vision or for that matter the vision of a passenger who might be riding in the vehicle with me. I was involved in an accident and report shows that I am 0% at fault. I was completely stopped when multiple cars collided into me. Is it normal for my insurance company to still force me to pay the deductible while they go after the insurance company(ies) specified as at-fault? I'm the one out of the money, so I have a hard time believing my insurance company is working hard to get my deductible - I'm assuming the 4 moving cars are arguing who was actually at fault. How long does it usually take to receive the deductible? Tuesday, April 01, 2008 1:23 PM |
If you drive someone else's car and cause bodily injury over and above what the bodily limits are on the policy. Who can they sue the owner of the car or the driver? Tuesday, April 01, 2008 2:10 PM |
I seen where someone asked if GAP insurance covered the transmission or the engine. And the response was that is what warranties are for or something along that line. My question is will it cover those two if you do not have a warranty left? I just found out to have my engine fixed it will cost way more than my car is worth. Will the GAP ins cover it and consider the car a loss? Monday, March 31, 2008 4:35 PM |
If someone gets in an accident on private property, in this case, a parking lot, who is at fault? How will the insurance company handle? Is there a no fault policy in the state of Ohio in this instance? One of the people involved was pulling out of their space and brushed across this other persons parked vehicle, which was not parked in the parking space correctly, and caused damage to the bumper. Thanks for your input. Tuesday, April 01, 2008 1:24 PM |
I live in Phoenix, Arizona. At work a delivery truck hit my car and damaged the bumper. The driver's insurance company told me to take some pictures and get an estimate and submit it for reimbursement approval. I took my car to my regular repair place and they gave me an estimate for $789.00. I submitted it and the insurance company said I have to submit an estimate from a body shop and not a tire place that also does repairs. The body shop I choose to go to gave me an estimate for $630.00. I want to take my car to my regular repair place. Can the insurer tell me where to take my car for repair or can I choose where to take my car for repair, even if they charge more than the other place I went to? So in AZ can I pick who I want to repair my car, get an estimate and send it to the other party's insurance? Tuesday, June 10, 2008 9:10 AM |
If I owe more on the car than what it is worth, I understand gap coverage if I am at fault in the accident. Will my gap coverage pay if my car is totaled in an accident that is not my fault and the other company is only offering the book value of my car in settlement? Or is the other company totally responsible for the amount of my loan? Thank you. Monday, March 31, 2008 10:41 AM |
