MY car was hit by a semi-truck driver. His company admitted fault. The law in my state (MO) says I can take my car wherever I want to have it repaired to my satisfaction. I went to my dealer-certified body shop and got an estimate. The trucking company's insurance company sent their own estimator to validate the claims. Both estimates were in agreement. However, the insurance company now wants my body shop to only use junkyard parts in lieu of dealer parts (that carry a lifetime warranty). I do not consider junkyard parts to be part of being "repaired to my satisfaction". What are my rights here?

My car was stolen but in my loan I had rolled over monies from the trade in. I have heard stories that GAP will only cover that car not the amount of the rollover from the previous trade in. The rollover from the other car was added to the price of the car that was stolen. How true is this?

I am financing a car and have $3000 left as an estimated payoff. The car was stolen and I want to know how much I should expect the insurance to cover. The suggested retail value is at $9800, the trade in value is $5000 and private party value is $7400 according to Kelley blue book. Do you know which value of the car, the insurance company will pay?

A car was considered a total loss by an insurance company. The car has a new owner and different insurance company. The car was in an accident and someone else was at fault. In Louisiana we have a "no pay - no play" law which states that if a driver is involved in an auto accident and is not at fault, that driver cannot file an insurance claim if he/she doesn't have insurance. What if an insured Louisiana driver is at fault in an auto accident and the car which is hit is registered in Maryland, however, the Maryland car is not insured. Can the Maryland driver still file a claim? Is there a "no pay - no play" law in Maryland?
