My 20 year old son has a restricted license for 1 year and pays for SR-22 insurance. He was charged with DUI and a small accident with no injuries. He will be joining the Navy and leaving in August so he will not be able to drive for 1 1/2 years. What does he do regarding the insurance and his restricted licenses?
Monday, January 16, 2006 3:34 PM | Can you be insured in 2 separate states. I am a resident of Florida, however work in Philadelphia and spend 80% of my time in Philly and 20% in Florida. Is there such a thing as dual insurance, so I can be fully covered in both states? Also, where would my car have to registred, PA or FL?

I read the question about reporting to my home state and it said points would only be assessed to CDL holders. What is a CDL holder? Will those states tell my insurance company about the tickets?The tickets were received in Kansas (86 mph in a 70) and Oklahoma (86 mph in a 65).

Keeping a second car up there instead of renting one is much more practical but insuring two cars in New York, especially if one car is staying in Vermont, isn't practical monetarily. My question is this, once I buy my policy online, are the temporary insurance cards that I will print out on my PC really going to be accepted by most, if not all notaries in PA.? Im concerned, because I called one notary in Lancaster, PA. that claimed not to accept anything as proof of insurance, if it was printed from the internet, in other words, on my PC.
