Car Insurance Question  What if I don’t want to include a household resident on my policy?

You should always include all household residents on your application in the ‘Resident’ section.

Where available, our interface will allow you to simply indicate that you do not wish to include this person on your policy. Choose from the drop down list the reason why they aren't listed (other insurance, no license, etc.)

With each company it is different. CarInsurance.com sells policies for different insurance companies. Our application will ask you the appropriate questions to meet the company guidelines and the state rules/laws. If you feel that you can't list all household residents, please call our call center and they will be able to accommodate you request.

Carriers need to know about all household residents because states laws for personal liability sometimes include all household residents. Therefore, the company is covering you and representing you so they need to be aware of the entire risk they are protecting.
