Car Insurance Question  Our 18yr old son was insured under our policy, but after 3 accidents he now has is own insurance. When he goes to college and lives on campus, can we sell his car and will he therefore not need to be insured if he is not driving?

He will not need to be insured unless he will be driving your vehicle. However, you should still notify your insurance company that he is in college but may come home from time to time. Some insurance companies require that you sign an exclusion form or waiver. It is important that you disclose him to your insurance company and make them aware that he no longer has his own vehicle if you have not already. They may require some evidence or proof of his new residency. If he decides to get another car, please come back for a fast, free auto insurance quote.
