I am moving to United States soon and will be taking a supervised driving course for my driver's license. If I buy a car right now, will my insurance rates be higher if I waited until after I obtained my license?

Most of our insurance companies do not base the rates on how long you have been licensed. In any event, you will need to obtain a valid U.S. operators license within about 30 days after your policy purchase.
