Car Insurance Question  I recently moved from MN to DE. I am registering a new vehicle this week and getting my driver's license. How long do I have to notify my insurance company of the move? (Obviously, it will be quite a price hike and I'd like to avoid it as long as possible.)

Each insurance company has different guidelines regarding this situation. Many state that you should notify them 'within a reasonable amount of time'. Usually this means 30 days. You should contact your insurance agent or company to determine their specific guidelines.

You can get a car insurance quote here to determine how much it will cost for insurance in the area that you h ave moved to.
