I currently drive a car owned by my parents and am covered under that policy. I am moving to a city 300 miles away in the same state for work and will be bringing the car with me. Can I still be covered under my parents policy now that the cars are in different cities in order to retain the multicar discount?

Yes, most insurance companies would cover this situation. Your parents should inform their insurance agent that the car you drive will be kept in another city. An issue arises only if the vehicle will be taken out of the state for an extended period of time.

Your parents can go here to comparison shop their insurance policy.
