I'm 23 years old and I'm just getting my license. I don't live with my parents and I have to get insurance on my own. New Jersey has a graduated drivers license program and I wanted to know if its even possible for me to get insurance with a provisional license?

Yes, you can still purchase insurance. The rules and regulations regarding a restricted, provisional, or graduated license have more to do with the laws regarding operating a vehicle than they do pertaining to insurance policies. We partner with Esurance Insurance Company in your state. I spoke to one of their representatives who stated that you can buy a policy while completing the graduated license program.

Because the program is for drivers under 21 to ease them into the responsibilities of driving ..At 23 you get your license the old fashioned way, you take the "written" now computer test, and then get an appointment for the road test. someone would have to take you, but if you pass, you can leave there as the driver.
