Car Insurance Question  I backed into my wife's car in our driveway. Both cars are insured on the same policy by AIG. They said I must pay 2 deductibles even though the 2nd car was parked. Is this customary? Thanks for your help,Bob Startzel

The rules regarding this vary from insurance company to insurance company. Apparently your insurance company applies a separate deductible to each loss. It is possible that the damage to your wife's vehicle could be claimed under your property damage liability coverage for which there should be no deductible. Check with your claims adjuster to determine if this is possible.
