If I was in a car accident and not at fault and my damage was $1000.00 dollars less than than my remaining auto loan with the vehicle being totaled do you think they will pay the auto loan off?

When a repair check is issued for damage to an insured’s vehicle, the insured’s name will be listed on the check along with the lienholder. You will need to satisfy your loan balance with your lienholder. It is also possible that the insurance company will issue separate checks. One to your lienholder and one to you. After satisfying your loan balance, you can use any remaining money to buy another car or do whatever you wish.

When you get another car you can get an auto insurance quote here.
