What are the penalties if I dont have insurance in the state of South Carliona?

    These are the current minimum limits for South Carolina. If you fail to carry these you will not be protected by the no-fault laws of the state. In addition , if you own a registered car and fail to carry the state minimum limits your license will be subject to suspension.

    $15,000 bodily injury per person

    $30,000 bodily injury per accident

    $10,000 property damage per accident

    Underinsured motorist coverage is not required.
