If you are a passenger in a vehicle and you have told the at fault person's insurance company that you want to file a personal injury and liability claim, how long should you give them to contact you with an offer?

Personally, I want my medical bills to be paid, but I also want to be polite. As a result, I would give the at fault driver's insurance company no more than 48 hours to return your call. 48 hours gives them time to respond to you in a timely manner. Since you mentioned filing a personal injury claim, this will need to be done through your insurance company, the insurance company of the driver of the vehicle you were in, and the insurance company of the owner of the vehicle were in. Personal injury protection covers your injuries regardless of who is at fault in the accident. As a result, you will use the personal injury protection before you use the at fault driver's bodily injury liability coverage.
