What will happen to my insurance if my 17 year old minor, who's on my policy, gets into a minor or major accident?

First, if your 17 year old minor is listed as a driver on your policy and is involved in an accident while driving a vehicle on your policy, I expect your insurance company to cover the accident to the insurance limits you purchased. As to what happens from there will depend on the insurance company. Some insurance companies will not renew your policy at its expiration. Other insurance companies will not renew your policy unless you remove your 17 year old minor from the policy. Still, other insurance companies will continue to renew your policy with your minor listed on the policy as a driver, but they will increase your insurance premiums.

If the accident causes your insurance rates to increase, you can get a quote for auto insurance cheap rates by clicking here.
