My husband and I were without insurance for about 4 months because of financial difficulties. Our cars registration was suspended and DMV required that we obtain SR-22s from our insurance company that we just signed on with. My question is, if we move to another state are we required to carry the SR-22s still on our policy, or will this show up when we go to register our car in that state?

You will need to still satisfy the current state you live in. When you move you will have to switch insurance to your new state but will most likely have to get an out-of-state SR-22. This will be required before you will be able to obtain a driver license for the state you are moving to.
