My car was parked in a parking lot. A cab driver was getting a person in a wheelchair into the cab in the space next to my car. He tripped and fell on my car, leaving a large dent in one of the doors. Neither of us were behind the wheel when this happened. I was told that it would not covered by insurance. Who pays for the repairs, and will I have to still pay the deductible to get it fixed?

You may want to seek legal help against the person who damaged your property. Otherwise, if you have comprehensive coverage, you may use that coverage to fix your vehicle. Comprehensive covers loss caused by missiles, falling objects, fire, theft or larceny, explosion, earthquake, windstorm, hail, water, flood, malicious mischief or vandalism, riot or civil commotion, colliding with a bird or animal, or breakage of glass. There is usually a deductible that will apply.
