I have been driving our firms lease van for 5 yrs. Will this affect my no claims bonus as I have not had any private insurance for this period.

Depending on the company for your personal insurance, This may affect you. Some company will not write a policy if you can not show prior insurance for 6 months. Some companies will write the policy but give additional discounts if you do have prior insurance.
