If I co-sign for a loan on a vehicle and the vehicle is in an accident, can I be held liable for any personal injury outside of the insurance limits? Vehicle will not be in my name, only co-sign the finance agreement.

You can be held accountable for an accident if you are a co-signer for a vehicle. As a co-signer, you are responsible for the vehicle, too. So, as a result, you are responsible for those who drive your vehicle, for what your vehicle damages, and those who get hurt (in your vehicle or not). This ultimate responsibility is called 'vicariuos liability.' To protect yourself, make sure there is adequate liability insurance (property damage liability and bodily injury liability).
