My mother and I just leased a car. When we went to the dealership, I had a suspended driver's license but my mom is fine. Now, they want me to get excluded, but the insurance company will not exclude me. Why is that?

Most insurance companies will not exclude the 'named insured.' (If the policy is in your name, you are the 'named insured.') The insurance policy will most likely need to be in your mother's name - if you are to be excluded. However, if you are excluded, you will NOT be covered to drive the vehicle. Your best bet is to get your license reinstated (if you can). Even though the dealership wants you to be excluded, you will need to check with the leasing company to make sure it is 'ok' for you to be excluded. (They may have a problem with it - for liability reasons.)
