My vehicle was struck, and it was not my fault. I recieved an estimate of $2,400; however, the insurance adjuster hired a private estimator to call my body shop and negotiate a lower repair price by utilizing used auto parts on my vehicle. The adjuster stated the company is only obligated to repair my vehicle to its "as was" condition. Do I have to accept the use of used parts on my vehicle, or are they required to repair it to my satisfation?

The insurance cannot do anything that will jeopardize your vehicle's warranty. Your vehicle's manufacturer will void your vehicle's warranty, if your vehicle manufacturer cannot guarantee the parts. What you may have to do is come to an agreement with the insurance company for you to cover the difference in cost for the more expensive parts. If you feel that they are giving you a bad deal, especially since you are the victim, you may want to consider talking to your state's Department of Insurance or seeking legal advice.
