My truck was totaled, and I received payment from my insurance company. However, I am dealing with an insurance adjuster who received my case via my original adjuster (who had to go to Louisiana to help Hurricane Katrina claims.) This new adjuster is argumentative. Can I request a new adjuster?

The claims adjuster is supposed to work diligently to get the information to the insurance company to get you back on the road in a short amount of time. This helps keep the insurance company from paying other unnecessary additional expenses. If you feel this adjuster is uncooperative and this attitude is creating unnecessary delays, you should contact the insurance company and request a new adjuster. Or ask to speak to a supervisor.
