I live in California and stay part-time with family in Waxahachie, Texas. I just bought a new GMC truck in Texas, and they say I must have Texas insurance. (My California insurance won't work.) Can I get Texas insurance even though I live most of the time in California.

It is possible to purchase insurance in Texas if you live most of the time in California. Most insurance companies will not insure you if you live most of the time in another state.
