Car Insurance Question  I bought a car from one of my working buddies. As I was driving that night, I got stopped for no insurance. Is there supposed to be a binder that helps me in that case? (I live in Texas.)

In Texas, you are supposed to purchase insurance for your vehicle before you can drive it. If you purchased insurance before you drove the vehicle, you would have been given a binder number and/or policy number. If you purchased insurance before you drove the vehicle, find out the binder number (or policy number) and present it to the police. They may rescind the ticket and any points that will go against your driving record.
