Q

I was wondering when you fill a SR22, how much (if any) will it affect my policy?

A

Depending on your current policy, an sr22 may have a minimal cost or a major cost. If you are currently insured through an insurance company that will not file a sr22, you will need to purchase another insurance policy. Also, you must have "property damage liability" and "bodily injury liability" coverages with limits that are acceptable to the state that is requiring the sr22. If you do not have these coverages (or the proper amount) will have to adjust your policy accordingly. Now, a sr22 comes with a filing fee that only ranges from $15 to $25. If you currently insured through an insurance company that will file a sr22 and you have those two coverages with the limits that are acceptable to your state, then you will only need to add the sr22 and its minimal filing fee.
