| Some insurance companies will not cover your boyfriend with a suspended or revoked driver's license. However, most insurance companies will cover him with his license in its current status. They will require he reinstate his license immediatley. In fact, if he does not provide proof of its reinstatement within 30 to 45 days of the policy's inception date, the insurance company will cancel the policy. Now, to reinstate his driver's license, he will need accomplish the tasks the state requires of him. He may need to get caught up on his child support. He may need to pay any necessary fines. He may need an sr22. He may need to provide proof of insurance. He may need to do all or a combination of these. Again, it will depend on his state.
