I reversed into a car parked on the street while backing out of my driveway a couple of nights ago. I hit the back quarter panel of a car with a body kit. The car owner currently has his license suspended and is not insured. He has already expressed that he knows a body shop that will fix the damage for $450, which he wants me to pay in full. Am I liable to pay for the entire damage to his car even though his car is not registered and not street legal?

When you are involved in an accident, you should contact the police. They will let you know their level of involvement. They may be able determine fault for this accident. To allow your insurance company the chance to protect their financial interest in this accident, you may want to contact them. They may be responsible to cover this claim in the future.
