I was parked on private property at a gas station. I got out of my car to pay for gas and as I entered the station a government truck backed into my car. I had no insurance on my car. My hood, bumper, and grill is damaged. Should I still be entitled to compensation for damage?

Yes, the driver of the government vehicle is responsible for the accident, if all that you stated is correct.

You should be able to file the claim with the driver and/or the insurance covering the vehicle.
