My friend (whose license was expired) was driving my car we were hit from behind by a SUV which pushed us into another suv. The driver of the at fault vehicle was not the owner, but was picking up the owners kids (She stated she was a friend) however the owner showed up at the police station and she said the woman worked for her for 5 years. My car was damaged front and back. Will I receive damages even though the driver of my car had expired license?

Typically car insurance coverage follows the vehicle and not the driver. This is significant for both your vehicle and the car that hit you since neither had the owner of the vehicle driving. Even with the driver of your SUV not having a current driver's license the damages will most likely be covered under the other vehicle’s property damage insurance.

Since your SUV also hit a car your driver might be found at fault for that damage. If your vehicle is involved in an accident the SUV should generally receives the full coverage provided under your insurance policy so if your vehicle is found to be at fault for that part of the incident your insurance should cover the damage to the vehicle in front of you. This being said you should check with your insurance agent to make sure this is covered under your specific policy.
