If you violate any of the restrictions put on a G1 license you will typically receive a citation and receive demerit points. Each region has its own rules and penalties so I would check with your licensing bureau. You also might contact the Ministry of Transportation to the specifics for your region and find out the demerits assessed for the different violations. The basic guidelines are if you receive 2 or more demerit points you will be sent a letter. If you receive 6 points you will be interview to discuss your record and explain why your license should no be suspended. If you reach 9 demerit points your license will be suspended for 60 days. It is best to follow all of the conditions set forth when you received your G1 license. If you do not you could risk the suspension of your driving privileges and most likely difficulty moving up to a G2 license. We can give you a Canadian car insurance quote if needed.
