Hi, my car just got robbed. It had $3000 worth of supplies I use. Does car insurance cover that?

Car insurance does not usually cover personal items stolen out of your vehicle. Personal items, such as your supplies, are most likely covered though under your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy. Contact the insurance agent that you have that coverage through to see what you need to do to make a claim with them. You will likely need to be prepared with descriptions and receipts for all the items so that you can be properly reimbursed.

Some auto policies include customized equipment coverage.

The Personal Umbrella insurance policy news article explains about a different type of coverage you may want to invest in to protect your assets.

You can get a quote for auto insurance and an umbrella policy with Safeco who we have partnered with.Follow the above link or call Safeo at 1-800-936-0356
