I was in an accident with a company work vehicle approximately 1 year ago. Do I need to let the insurance company know this when I look for new insurance, since it was not my private insurance that covered the accident? The company insurance covered the accident, but it would still be on my driving record???

Yes, you should let insurance companies know about the accident in the company vehicle when shopping around for a new insurance policy. Since the incident is most likely on your driving record it is better to be upfront with the insurance company. Giving all the correct past information allows an insurance company to give you a more accurate quote.

If you leave information off of your insurance application most insurance companies will eventually find out the information anyway when checking your consumer report and also verifying your driving and claims record. If they find out new information at this point your insurance premium price will be adjusted and thus your quoted amount is likely to change.

Give us your information and we can quickly give you an auto insurance quote.
