My car was totalled in a company parking lot, when the car parked next to me (a fellow employee that should not have been parked there according to company rules) caught fire in the engine compartment. We both only had PL/PDcoverage. His insurance is refusing topay for my loss claiming that "it was nothis fault, he took good care of his car".They are not saying what caused the fire, but did have a fire investigator come out. Is it true they are not liable?

Without knowing the outcome of the investigation and your state laws we could not say if the fellow employee's insurance company can be held liable. We at CarInsurance.com cannot give out legal advice so we would suggest that you contact a lawyer to get legal counsel. A lawyer should be able to help you find out if the insurance company, fellow employee or even car manufacturer could be held responsible.
