My car was dented in a relatively minor accident. No one was injured. The claim process is taking a long time, and neither my nor the other driver's insurance company has received the police report yet. So the drivers ins. co. hasn't decided whether they will pay me any money for repairs. I had advertised the car for sale before the accident happened. Now someone has offered to buy it (even though they know its dented). Although the insurance claims are in process, the damage was relatively minor, so would there be any reason I could not sell the car in the near future?

You should speak to your insurance company and perhaps also the other driver's insurance company to see if there is a problem with you selling the car while the claims processing in ongoing. If you cannot get a direct answer from them you can next contact your state's insurance regulatory body to find out what your rights as a consumer are in this situation.
