You can contact your insurance company to find out if there is any policy that will cover you for a 6 month license suspension. Many insurance companies will not do it for that long of a time period but will if your driving privileges are going to be reinstated in 30 days (the shorter suspension period).

If you are unable to acquire a policy by this manner you can contact your finance company. Since they require you to have insurance on the vehicle the finance company might be able to hold the insurance policy for the 6 months that your driver's license is suspended.
