My car was hit in a parking lot while I was in it. The person who hit my car just got her G2 licence a day before. She did not have her insurance on her. The only information I have from her is her phone number, licence plate number and address. Is this enough information for me to take action against her? So far she has been giving me the run around. What should I do?

Hopefully you reported the accident to the police or local law enforcement authorities. If you did not do that at the time of the incident it might be possible to report the accident now and let the police know that the at-fault driver has not given you their insurance information and has been dodging your calls.

Contact your insurer as well, if it turns out the G2 driver does not have insurance you might have to put a claim through your insurance company, if your coverages allow. If you do have to go through your carrier you could have difficulty processing a claim if you wait to contact the insurer.

Your insurance carrier might be able to contact the at-fault party and get the insurance information from them that you could not. The personal information you have now on the at-fault G2 driver should be enough for you to start taking action against her in one of these two ways.
