If someone vandalizes my car, will my rates go up? And will I have to pay the deductible in this case?

The damages to a vandalized vehicle are covered under the comprehensive part of your insurance policy. If you have this type of coverage on your car the damage should be covered and you will have to pay your deductible.

An act of vandalism done to your car is not considered your fault so many insurance companies will not raise your rates due to a one time incident. Insurance companies do differ though in their rules for rate increases so it would be best to check with your insurance company to find out what their guidelines are regarding this.
