My car was parked on a sidestreet outside my home when it was struck by a drunk driver. The driver had no insurance, I got his info when we filed the police report, and have contacted him to see how is going to repair the damages to my car. He says that we need to go to court because he received a letter saying he had a court date and said he would not pay damages till then. Isn't that court appearance for him only? What should i do to have him fix my car?

It is likely that the court appearance is for only the drunk driver but to be certain I would ask him for the court house information so you can call and get the details.
