Car Insurance Question  Am I required to report to my insurance company an accident if a suspended licensed driver drove my car and was involved in a minor accident that wasn't his/her fault? Is the at fault driver's insurance company liable to cover damages to my car even if the driver was driving under a suspension?

You may not be obliged to tell your insurance company about the incident but it is normally wise to let your insurance company know about any accident your car was involved in. A driver with a suspended license should not be driving a car and it could be a serious problem if they were the one at-fault.

Generally, the at-fault party's insurance company should cover damages to your vehicle even if it was driven by a person with a suspended license. You should contact their insurance company to make your claim and find out what their policy will cover. The driver of your car could be looking at penalties though if police were called to the accident and cited him or her for driving with a suspended license.
