I got a citation for "No Proof of Insurance" while riding my Honda Shadow motorcycle. There was no accident of any kind. Do I need to have insurance on my bike? What do I do with this citation?

Motorcycle laws differ from state to state. Some states require motorcycle liability insurance while others require you to have health insurance to cover you if you are in an accident. Some states require you to wear a helmet while others do not.
