I have a car that is registered in my name and is insured. My significant other is also listed as a driver on my policy. She just bought a car and we want to know if I can add that car to my insurance policy. We are lesbians and have no legal right, per se, in Delaware.I just wanted to know if insurance companies would do that or if she needs separate insurance.

You should speak with your current insurance company to find out if they will allow you to add your partner's car onto your policy. Since you are both living in the same household many insurance companies generally would allow for both vehicles to be listed on one policy.

If your insurance carrier does not allow for you and your significant other to be listed on one policy you might want to shop around for Delaware auto insurance.
