Car Insurance Question  I am a resident of another state but visiting. I do not have insurance but I do have a license. Am I allowed to drive someone else's car who has insurance?

You are allowed to drive in other states other than your home state or state or resident usually. There are exceptions such as if you have a restricted license, junior or some graduating license instead of full, valid license.

Assuming that you have a full and valid license you can drive other people's vehicles but you should carry insurance yourself. States require drivers to be insured, even if the vehicle already has insurance on it by its owner. If you are staying in this other state for a lengthy period of time you might see about getting a license in that state and obtaining auto insurance.

If you are stopped driving a car without you, the driver, having insurance you can get cited in most all states. When you are ready to purchase auto insurance get car insurance online here with us.
