Car Insurance Question  I'm wondering if hitting a tire would classify under comprehensive or collision coverage?

Typically an insurance company classifies damages from hitting a tire under the collision coverage. Collision coverage covers damage from when your car hits, or is hit by, another vehicle or object. In this case the tire would be the object. You will have to pay the deductible for the collision coverage though.
