Car Insurance Question  What if a person who lived in California was driving without insurance and was in a car accident which was not her fault however it ended up killing her. What is the beneficiary entitled to?

After an auto accident such as this, the beneficiary would need to contact the at-fault party's insurance company to find out the limits of their policy. The bodily injury minimum for California is $15,000. This amount would cover the injury or fatality of 1 person per accident.

To find out what else the beneficiary might be entitled to, the person could contact an attorney or possibly the CA Department of Insurance. This agency should be able to give the person more information on how auto insurance works in California when there has been a fatality.
