Ontario law requires that all motorists have automobile insurance. As a Level 1 driver you or your parents should advise the insurance company that there is a G1 licensed motorist to be put on the policy. There is typically no charge for this.

You would need to speak to the insurance agent to see if the G1 driver would be listed then on the insurance statement or how it would show up as you being a driver on the policy.
