I have full coverage on my car and it was vandalized. What is covered? Do I pay the deductible just like if I was in a collision?

Full coverage typically means a person has both collision and comprehensive coverage on their vehicle. Vandalism would fall under the comprehensive portion of your policy and you will normally have to pay the deductible you have chosen for this coverage. Your deductible for comprehensive coverage might be different than the amount of the deductible you chose for your collision coverage.

Vandalism by definition is willful or malicious destruction, disfigurement or defacement of public or private property without consent of the owner. You should contact your insurance agent to find out what damage is considered vandalism and what is covered under the terms of your specific policy.

If part of the vandalism included personal items inside of your vehicle being stolen, this is usually not covered by your auto insurance. Typically, personal items you would have to claim through your renter's or homeowner's insurance policy.
