Typically if you license has been suspended the department of motor vehicles, department of public safety or a similar state agency will send a letter notifying you of the suspension of your driving privileges. It could be that you moved or did not receive the written notice, but your license will none the less be suspended. If you believe that you have done something, such as not paying the fines for a traffic offense, that would result in the state suspending your license, or are just uncertain of the status of your driver's license, you should contact your state's Department of Motor Vehicles. You typically can find out the status of your license and also request a copy of your driving record from the DMV.
