We were unable to verify that in Missouri the title number changes each time the title is transferred. We did find that you have 30 days from the date of purchase to title and pay sales tax on a newly purchased vehicle in MO. If you do not title the vehicle within 30 days there is a penalty that continues to increase the longer it takes you to title a vehicle.
