Unfortunately, the answer is maybe... Usually no coverage from an automobile policy is extended to a motorcycle. The general rule is that automobile insurance policies do not apply to motorcycles. Insurance providers' guidelines and terms of policies differ from state to state and insurance company to insurance company. Due to the varying terms and rules of insurance carriers you will need to check with your insurance company to find out if your automobile's uninsured motorist coverage would also extend to you while riding your motorcycle.
Some state laws (like Michigan) were recently changed to define a motorcycle as a motor vehicle. In a recent court of appeals decision it says that the policy language of the auto coverage may determine whether the coverage extends to the motorcycle.
There is uninsured motorist bodily injury coverage and in some states you can purchase uninsured motorist property damage. Some insurance companies might allow the uninsured bodily injury coverage to extend to you if you have been in an accident on your motorcycle. It is doubtful that the uninsured property damage would extend to the motorcycle though since without the bike being on the policy you were not paying for specific vehicle to be covered.
